The plane provider Ronald Reagan arrived in Bremerton, Washington, this week after being primarily based in Japan for almost a decade.
The provider, which obtained underway from Yokosuka, Japan, in Might, steamed into its new homeport at Naval Base Kitsap on Tuesday, and is poised to finish a routine upkeep interval.

The ship, which swapped some crew members with the plane provider George Washington in San Diego earlier than heading to Washington, participated in Valiant Protect 2024 en path to the West Coast. The train, primarily based out of Guam, included U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s joint forces and Japan Self-Protection Forces working collectively throughout domains.

The George Washington is slated to switch the Reagan in Japan because the Navy’s lone forward-deployed provider. The Navy beforehand homeported the ship in Yokosuka from 2008 to 2015.
