A person has been jailed for beating a person so badly that he misplaced a watch in what was described as a ‘cowardly’ pub assault.
Daniel Evans appeared within the dock at Preston Crown Courtroom on 18 July for the unprovoked assault with a cosh within the Bretherton Arms in Eaves Lane, Chorley.
The assault on 13 September 2020 resulted in a single man shedding a watch, a second man struggling a critical head harm and others receiving bruises.

Daniel Evans, 33, of no mounted deal with, pleaded responsible to 2 counts of Part 18 wounding and was jailed for 15-and-a-half-years.
Two different males, who took half within the assault – however didn’t use any weapons – pleaded responsible to affray.
Lewis Evans, 23, of Topaz Method, Chorley, and Callum Cheyne, 36, of Thornhill Street, Chorley got suspended sentences.
DS Andrew Causey, of South Division, mentioned: “This was a very horrific, surprising and cowardly assault carried out on fully harmless and unsuspecting victims, who because of Daniel Evans reprehensible conduct have had their lives modified without end.
“I want to thank the general public who offered info after the unique press launch attraction in September 2020. A number of further enquiries together with enhancements of digital and forensic proof went into bringing Daniel Evans to justice.
“I welcome the numerous custodial sentence handed all the way down to Daniel Evans. I hope the victims and public take consolation from the truth that Evans will solely start serving this sentence in 2027 as soon as he has accomplished the tariff he obtained for an unrelated theft.”
