A highway in Preston is anticipated to be closed ‘for a while’ resulting from a crash.
Woodplumpton Highway, in Ashton-on-Ribble, is closed between the junctions for Cadley Causeway and Lytham Highway on account of the crash.
The incident was first reported by police at round 4pm this afternoon (6 October). It’s but not clear what number of vehicles are concerned or what accidents, if any, have been sustained consequently.

A spokesperson for police mentioned: “We need to replace you and allow you to know that Woodplumpton Highway, Ashton on Ribble is at the moment closed resulting from a highway visitors collision.
“We anticipate that the highway can be closed for a while, while we ensure that the highway is protected and clear.
“Within the meantime, we’d advocate in search of an alternate route and driving fastidiously, leaving loads of additional time to get to your vacation spot.
