Money being raised to help family cover cost of funeral for Patrick Sawicki

Emergency companies at Navigation Approach on 8 December

Cash is being raised to assist cowl the funeral prices of a younger man who died in a crash.

Patrick Sawicki, 18, died on the scene of the crash when the bike he was driving hit a lamppost in Navigation Approach.

The street was shut on the Docks in Ashton-on-Ribble all through Sunday afternoon and night (8 December) as emergency companies labored on the scene.

Over £3,690 has been raised up to now to assist cowl the funeral prices of Patrick Sawicki, who was from the Broadgate space of town, which is greater than the £3,000 goal.

A tribute launched on behalf of his household yesterday: “Patrick Sawicki, a real power of nature, has accomplished his earthly journey and launched into a brand new journey past us, on Sunday eighth December 2024.

“At 18, Patrick lived extra in his years than most may hope for in a lifetime. He leaves behind a tapestry of gorgeous reminiscences and tales that can proceed to encourage his household and mates.

“Cherished by so many, he touched all our hearts together with his kindness and loyalty to his mates. Fierce protector of his mates towards bullies and wonderful brother to his siblings, he was certainly one of a form.

“Immensely enthusiastic about motorsports, vehicles, motorbikes or something to do with mechanics he died doing what he liked most. He might be deeply missed by those that knew him.”
