Huge rallies by labor and civic teams are set to happen in Seoul on Saturday afternoon.
The Federation of Korean Commerce Unions(FKTU), one of many nation’s two umbrella teams, staged a rally in Yeouido at 2 p.m., denouncing what it calls the federal government’s “anti-labor insurance policies.”
The opposite umbrella group, the Korean Confederation of Commerce Unions(KCTU), together with civic teams, will maintain a rally close to Gwanghwamun from 4 p.m., calling for President Yoon Suk Yeol to resign amid allegations of influence-peddling.
The rally can be adopted by a candlelight march between Metropolis Corridor and Gwanghwamun from 5:30 p.m.
Conservative teams, together with the Motion Headquarters for Right Institution of Korea, introduced plans to stage a rally of their very own close to Metropolis Corridor from 1 p.m., in a bid to counter the opposition bloc’s makes an attempt to oust the president.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Company plans to dispatch some 220 officers to rally websites to manage visitors.
