Driver caught at 140mph on motorway near Preston as Christmas Day came in

The VW stopped on the M55

A automotive was reported travelling at effectively over 100mph on a motorway close to Preston.

The incident, reported simply after midnight this morning (25 December) by police, occurred on the M55 near junction 3 for Kirkham and Wesham.

Police seized the automobile in consequence and the motive force was reported. The automobile, a white Volkswagen, was travelling at 140mph, police mentioned.

A spokesperson for police mentioned: “Officers stopped this automobile on the M55 travelling in extra of 140mph.

“Automobile seized and driver reported.”
