Seattle Police detectives are investigating after a hillside was set on hearth in Queen Anne final week.
On July twenty third, at 4:38 p.m., patrol officers responded to stories of heavy black smoke at 899 West Olympic Place. Officers arrived together with the Seattle Fireplace Division and located the comb engulfed in flames.
The hearth began from a tent at an unauthorized encampment. A number of propane tanks exploded inflicting the emergency response to extinguish the flames.
The hearth occurred proper subsequent to Kinnear Park and brought on a 1-Alarm response. The park was evacuated for security. No accidents or deaths have been reported.
A 64-year-old man was arrested for Possession of Harmful Weapons, and a $7,500 Assault warrant. Costs for Reckless Burning have been referred to the Metropolis Legal professional’s Workplace.
This incident is being investigated by the Arson/Bomb Squad.
